Mooring Shackle 1/2"

  • This is a shackle that has been holding a boat to its mooring for 5 years. When I did the dive to replace the chain the shackle practically fell apart in my hands. Only a thin piece of wire was holding the pin in place.
  • Notice the threads have completely rotted out. This is why we dive and replace equipment every three years. Don't take a chance!
