Chain Replacement Dive and block inspection - This is the standard charge for my service, and it is the same rates of my counterparts in Plymouth. Chain, shackles and swivels are billed separately. Clients that receive spring and summer mooring ball services on a regular basis receive a considerable discount. You may want to inquire why it is better to sign up for my seasonal service. So, if you need a diver to replace your mooring chain in the Kingston Bay, I am the guy.  If you are familiar with our bay, then you know about the mud.  This mud makes the visibility for a diver extremely difficult.  Once a mooring is located, any movement of the muddy bottom creates a zero-visibility dive. Typically, I am diving to replace a chain that has been in use for a few years.  I do not do inspection dives as this is a waste of your time and mine.  If you think for any reason, it needs an inspection, you might as well have it replaced.  Trust me, when that Nor'easter Storm comes in, you will sleep a lot better at night knowing you have a new chain installed.  Your boat is worth a lot more than a few hundred bucks for new chain and shackles and my dive fee.
