Barnett's 16" wide x 2" deep Custom Round Hoop - Rug Hookers Dream
Product Description
Extra strong 16" round Barnett's hoop with extra depth, 2" deep. This hoop has been made as a special request for rug hooking. The extra depth is the key to why it works so well. These hoops are custom made in our shop. This is not a mass produced overseas hoop that you buy in your local craft store. This has been steamed and bent into a jig to form the circle. Next, the blocking is installed with an extra long 8" bolt and an Easy Turn Knob, not a simple wing nut. Now it is hand sanded for over an hour with 3 different grades of sand paper to make it extra smooth.

Nice hoop for rug hookers

I got tired of always getting picked from a gripper frame. Your hoops are great as I have ordered a 16"...already have an 18". These hoops are smooth and my rugs slip right over the hoop...very easy to handle. I am a little disappointed in the color....it is not the warm cherry finish, but almost the same as the 18" oak I already have.
(Note: Color / Stain will vary on every hoop as each piece of wood stains up differently. - Harry B.)

best rug hooking hoop ever

I was in the market for a rug hooking hoop as I learned on one. My Puritan frame was pulling out my loops. I wanted a hoop that was sturdy and large enough to accommodate primitive rugs as I hook with wide strips of wool. I found Barnett on the internet. My new hoop holds the linen taught and is comfortable resting on my lap and the construction is sturdy. It is a beautiful woodworking piece.
