Barnett's Laptop Hoops

The early album style quilt pays homage to Reverend George C. Warvel of Easter Ohio, an early circuit rider. It was in appreciation of his efforts that women form his circuit joined together in 1862 to make a presentation quilt for him when he relocated. The origninal quilt, now housed at the Art Institute of Chicago, includes 42 appliqued, album style blocks, each lovingly inscribed by the maker.
