Chain Replacement Dive - If you need a diver to replace your mooring chain in the Kingston Bay, I am the guy. If you are familiar with our bay, then you know about the mud. This mud makes the visibility for a diver extremely difficult. Once a mooring is located, any movement of the muddy bottom creates a zero visibility dive. Typically, I am diving to replace a chain that has been in use for a few years. I do not do inspection dives as this is a waste of your time and mine. If you think for any reason it needs an inspection, you might as well have it replaced. Trust me, when that Nor'easter Storm comes in, you will sleep a lot better at night knowing you have a new chain installed. Your boat is worth a lot more than a few hundred bucks for new chain and shackles and my dive fee.
Lost Mooring Dive - Locating a lost mooring is also extremely difficult and is not a guarantee that it can be located. Many times the visibility is less than 5 feet and mooring blocks become covered. I will do a complete search of the area you indicate. It definitely helps if you attend the dive on the boat or drop a marker float on the area prior to my dive. Many search and recovery dives will take between 45 minutes to 2 hours of underwater time. I will repeat, I can not guarantee a successful dive due to the muddy conditions. All dives must be paid in full prior to diving. Call me to discuss your specific mooring prior to ordering. 781-248-7291 Thank you, Harry
