Barnett's Laptop Hoops - Sit On Base

Sit On Base works with any Original Design or Vented Design lap frames. One large, easy to turn knob allows you to adjust the angle of the frame in your lap. The lazy-Susan makes rotating the frame super easy.

Barnett's Sit-On Lap Frame Base

The perfect addition to you Barnett's Laptop Hoop Frame.  This "base" easily clips on to the magnetic bottom of your Original or Vented design lap frames. To remove it, just give it a good tug and off it pops.  The lazy-Susan rotates a full 360 degrees and the large Easy-Turn knob adjusts your lap frame to the perfect angle.  The Sit-On base will also lift the weight of the lap frame and project off of your lap.  The center support slides between your legs and the "foot" slides under your legs.  Look closely at the second picture and you will see I have set up multiple height adjustments, just incase you need to raise or lower the frame to the most comfortable position.  View our video on the home page and watch this little base in action.

    I have several hoops and rug hooking frames built by Harry Barnett. Each one is sturdy, beautifully crafted and worth the wait. Some I bought as long as 8-10 years ago. In addition, it is always a pleasure to deal with Harry - he will listen to what you need and give you his opinion on which model would be best for the kind of work that you do. The last one I ordered, I disregarded his advice that I get a bigger rug hooking frame and I ordered the small 12” travel model which doesn’t work for the type of hooking that I do. It is beautifully built and sturdy but I hook only in one direction so I need to constantly turn it and for large pieces that didn’t work for me. My problem, not the product. There’s no hassle with the return and I have ordered a bigger size which I am sure will work very well, with the sit on stand. All in all I highly recommend this shop and these products.

    I love the sit-on lap frame! I have a 10 inch travel hoop ordered and can't wait to get it. Harry's customer service is top-notch. You can't go wrong ordering from him.

    I have been using this new product and encourage others to purchase it as well. It is stable, frees up my hands and very portable to move to any of my favorite setting places. I also purchased the cross stitch hoop - the magnets are very strong. I notice my needles attach to the wood and I now know where they are most of the time, i.e., either in my hand or attached to the wood. Great, excellant and beautiful product.
